“Bees and Cheese” at the Agriculture Showcase

The Fond du Lac Area Agri-Business Council invites you to the 14th Annual Fond du Lac Agriculture Showcase on Saturday, March 4, at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Recreation Building. The Fond du Lac Area Agri-Business Council is buzzing with excitement as they team up with the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board and Festival Foods for this family-friendly event.

“Bees and Cheese” is the theme for the 14th Annual Agriculture Showcase. The Agriculture Showcase allows the public to interact with businesses throughout Wisconsin – offering products, activities, information, delicious samples and much more. These businesses have an agricultural connection to the production of food goods or agricultural products and cater to all individuals, families or other businesses in the agricultural field and beyond.

The 2017 Ag Showcase will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with the tradeshow until 3:00 p.m. Admission to the event is $3 per person, children under 10 are free. In addition to more than 50 vendor booths, there will be kids’ activities and fun for the whole family.

The Cooking Mom and host of the popular television show, Fox 11 Living with Amy, is returning once again to the Agriculture Showcase. She’ll be cooking up some fun recipes featuring honey in celebration of this year’s “Bees and Cheese” theme. Hanten will take the stage at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and is sponsored by Jackson Kahl Insurance, 3-D Dairy and Immel Insurance and Financial Services.

The stage will be buzzing with information as Mary Gross, Heirloom Honey, LLC takes the stage at 10 a.m. with an exciting presentation about beekeeping and honey. Gross will then share her bee knowledge with activities for young and old alike in the youth area.

Scarlet the Milking Cow along with the Fond du Lac County Jr Holsteins will bring dairy to the youth area. In addition, the Pickett Steam Engine Club will have their kiddie pedal tractors on display. Youth activities are

sponsored by Schmitz Family Farm and Weyauwega Star Dairy-Knaus Cheese.

Back by popular demand is the Country Visions Coop Petting Zoo. A coloring contest, sponsored by Country

Visions Coop, We Energies, CP Feeds, Badgerland Financial, and Clover Hill Dairy will be ongoing throughout the day. The coloring contest entry form is available in the Action Advertiser.

Heartfelt Flower and Gifts worked with the Showcase committee to enhance the tasting area. Assorted cheeses and summer sausage produced and marketed in the greater Fond du Lac County area, will be available for sampling. Beverage tasting, sponsored by Sand Creek Brewing Company, will also be

available.
