Press Release

Wisconsin's best places to work for young professionals

The Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF), in partnership with 25 other young professional (YP) networks in Wisconsin, announces a call for young professionals to nominate their workplace for the 2017 Bubbler Awards. Nominations will be accepted until February 28, 2017; winners will be announced on March 6. For more information and to submit a workplace, please visit:

YPWeek Wisconsin is modeled after a program started by NEWaukee in 2012 to provide a weeklong series of events focusing on discovery, adventure and meaningful conversations about the issues that matter to young professionals in the Milwaukee area. YPWeek Wisconsin has continued to reach across the state with the support of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) since 2015, and its participants have collaborated with the agency on a shared communication platform designed to retain, excite, and grow the state’s talent pool. YPWeek incorporates this platform into its programming, leveraging “Think-Make-Happen,” an organizing theme.

The Bubbler Awards shine a light on the companies who have made great strides to accommodate the interests of a shifting workforce. There's a common perception that Millennials are discontent or disinterested in traditional forms of employment. These awards showcase the reality of how many Wisconsin-based companies are adjusting and creating environments that allow young professionals to call this state home.

Submissions for the Bubbler Awards will be collected through February 28, 2017. Winning companies will be determined by a juried panel that evaluates what Millennials are looking for in today’s workplace including: competitive salary and benefits, opportunity for advancement and employee and community engagement.

“We’re excited to be a part of YPWeek 2017 to bring attention to the great programming and services provided by YPF which are available in Fond du Lac,” stated Nick Nell, 2017 YPF president. “The possibility of gaining statewide recognition for one or multiple Fond du Lac area employers is a tremendous opportunity. If you think your employer is top-notch, nominate them for the Bubbler Awards today!”

YPF is a division of the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce and is designed for professionals living or working in the Fond du Lac area who are 21 – 40 or those that are young at heart. For more information, visit
