About the Speakers:

Kevin Lichtenberg, Executive VP and General Manager of MAG Fond du Lac: Kevin Lichtenberg is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Fond du Lac, Wisconsin division of MAG IAS, LLC (formerly Giddings & Lewis). MAG builds highly-engineered metal cutting machine tools used in a wide range of durable goods industries. Lichtenberg has 23 years of experience in the industry starting at Giddings & Lewis as a Sales Engineer after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his career, he has held various regional and global sales and management positions working with all aspects of the organization, including product development, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, Six Sigma, marketing, sales and distribution. Lichtenberg also continues to maintain personal responsibility for strategic customer accounts. Promoted to Executive Vice President and GM in February of 2012, Lichtenberg is responsible for the MAG Fond du Lac Operations, a manufacturing mainstay of the Fond du Lac community for more than 160 years.

Jim Spannbauer, VP of Operations of MAG Fond du Lac: A twenty-nine year veteran in the machine tool industry, Jim Spannbauer started as a Machinist Apprentice. Spannbauer has held various positions within MAG from Machine Operator to Director of Assembly and Installations. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has led several MAG cost savings and process improvement projects using Six Sigma and Lean processes. In addition, Spannbauer held the positions of Director of International Sales and Director of Proposals and Technical Sales working with job shops and OEM throughout the world to improve processes and drive out waste by defining effective procedures and selecting the best machine tool solutions. As a Global Product Leader for MAG he was responsible for the Horizontal Machining Centers and Large Prismatic Machines product development. Spannbauer is currently the Vice President of Operations for MAG Fond du Lac.
