Description

Morning networking at its best! Coffee Connections allow business representatives to give a 30 second commercial about his or her business. Representatives are encouraged to bring brochures or other handouts while the host is invited to address the crowd with a more detailed commercial message. If your company is interested in hosting a Coffee Connection, please call 920-921-9500.

Big Brothers Big Sisters has been changing children's lives for the better, forever, for over 30 years in the Fond du Lac Area. At the June 5 AC Coffee Connection, you will view some of the featured auction packages for the June 27 Lobster Boil auction at Whispering Springs Golf Club. You will tour the facility including the recently renovated children's activity room that was made possible by a grant from Gannet Foundation and a donation from Habitat for Humanity Restore.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a voluntary program though which a professional support team oversees a mature, sincere adult volunteer in the development of a supportive, long-term friendship with a child. Often viewed as a recreational program, our greater mission or goal is fun and friendship, with an emphasis on the prevention or early intervention of potential difficulties that children may encounter or develop. Recruiting, screening, enrolling, training and matching responsible volunteers with children on a one-to-one basis is done by the Enrollment Specialists at Big Brothers Big Sisters. Big Brothers Big Sisters works in conjunction with area schools, community social services agencies and other referral sources to better meet youths' needs. The Match Support Specialists monitor and evaluate the progress of the match on a regular basis through required monthly contacts with the volunteer, child and parent/guardian.
