Ag Showcase

The Agriculture Showcase allows the public to interact with businesses throughout Wisconsin! Most of these businesses have an agricultural aspect in the production of food goods or agricultural products. These businesses cater to all individuals, families or other businesses in the agricultural field and beyond.

Over 2,500 guests learned more about their agriculture connection at the 11th Annual Agriculture Showcase held March 1.  Vendors such as Confections for Any Occasion, La Clare Farms, The Cellar, Schraufnagel Implement and Country Visions (to name just a few) helped attendees make the connection as to just how much agriculture impacts the Fond du Lac community.  And of course there were delicious samples available for all to taste and enjoy! Samples and food highlights included cheese and sausage donated from the area’s finest cheese factories and meat markets, ice cold milk donated by Lake Breeze Dairy, Clover Hill Dairy and Dennis Moldenhauer Trucking and tasty Root Beer Floats – using ice cream from Kelley’s Country Creamery and root beer from Sand Creek Brewery.

The Showcase also featured numerous education displays and stage presentations, including appearances from Fond du Lac County’s own Alice in Dairyland and “The Cooking Mom” Amy Hanten (sponsored by Immel Insurance and Financial Services and Lakerest Farm).  No doubt about it, there was something for everyone at this year’s showcase – including fun for all ages!

“Let the Games Begin” was this year’s theme, which included the first “Food Fact Family Feud”, where the Jagdfeld family touted their agriculture knowledge while competing against the Lisowe’s for this year’s grand prize – an overnight stay at the Great Wolf Lodge.  Both families also received tickets to this year’s Breakfast on the Farm.  Guests were also able to try their hand with other games including “The Price is Right” price match.

Showcase sponsors include the Agri-Business Council, the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board and Festival Foods.
